In this project, I used an old electronic box that has two halves that sleeve inside each-other with a tiny pin hole on one end of the box. I then used a special light sensitive paper that i custom cut to put on the opposite side of the pinhole. All of this is done in a black room so no light gets to the paper. Once the paper is in and the box was constructed, I covered the pinhole with my finger until I positioned the box in the right spot to take my picture. I then remove my finger to let the light expose on the paper for at least 10 minutes. After this is done, there is a special chemical to soak the paper in to stop the paper from continuing to expose. The photo turns out a negative image. This means that all of the light is black and all dark is light. I flipped it around in photoshop so it looks like an ordinary photo. Through this project I really learned about how early photos were capture before all of the technology and how aperture and exposure works in real time.
